Precise, long-lasting restorations that protect and strengthen your teeth
This paragraph gives us additional space to discuss the treatment if we require it. It's a pretty concise space to get a direct message across.

When a tooth is too damaged for a filling but does not need a full crown, inlays and onlays offer an excellent middle ground. At Apex Dental & Implant Centre in Feltham, we use carefully crafted restorations to rebuild strength while preserving as much of your natural tooth as possible.
Our approach focuses on precision, comfort and long-term durability, helping patients across TW13, Hanworth and Bedfont protect their teeth without unnecessary treatment.

Inlays and onlays are bespoke restorations used to repair teeth affected by decay, fractures or large failing fillings.
Both are designed to reinforce the tooth while maintaining its natural shape and function. They are often used instead of large fillings or before a full crown is necessary.
Your dentist may recommend an inlay or onlay if you have:

With good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups, inlays and onlays can last for many years.
We believe in open, honest pricing and clear explanations before treatment begins. Your dentist will confirm the most suitable option for your tooth and provide a full cost breakdown during your appointment.
They are often stronger and longer-lasting than large fillings, especially for back teeth.
Yes. They are colour-matched to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.
No. Treatment is carried out with local anaesthetic to keep you comfortable.
With good care, inlays and onlays can last many years, often longer than standard fillings.
In some cases, yes. They can delay or avoid the need for a full crown when damage is moderate.
Decayed or chipped teeth can often be repaired with white composite fillings that look natural; however, if the damage is too substantial, particularly on the back teeth, then an inlay or onlay would be recommended. Inlays or onlays can be made from a number of strong materials such as metals or ceramics.
An inlay is a small filling that fits into the biting surface of a tooth. An onlay covers a larger area of the tooth and is better suited to bigger cavities.
Gold was traditionally used for these types of restorations. However, in recent times, hard-wearing tooth-coloured porcelain has become a more popular choice of material. This is a more aesthetic way to restore the teeth and creates a more natural-looking smile.
After an impression is made of your tooth, the inlay or onlay will be made in a dental laboratory by a technician. While these are being made, you will wear a temporary filling. When your inlay or onlay is ready, we will bond it into place using a special adhesive, after removing the temporary filling.
Your restored tooth will not only look like a real tooth but also function like one, allowing you to bite, chew and eat without any discomfort.
Thanks to advances in digital technology (called CAD/CAM), porcelain inlays can be made at some dental practices using a special milling machine known as CEREC. This means you will need fewer visits to the dentist to have your tooth restored.

If you have a damaged tooth and want a strong, conservative solution, inlays and onlays may be the ideal choice. The team at Apex Dental & Implant Centre is here to help you protect your smile with careful, personalised care.
I had a really positive experience at Apex Dental Surgery. Dr Shervin and hygienist Rosie were extremely kind, gentle, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel very comfortable. The receptionists are also lovely - always welcoming, calm, and helpful from the moment I arrived, which set the tone for the whole visit. The practice is clean, professional, and very well run. I felt genuinely looked after and specifically asked if I could continue my treatment with this team because of how at ease they made me feel. Highly recommend.
Ali has been my dentist for three years now and has been by far the best I’ve ever had! He has a great bedside manner, good sense of humor and talks you through everything he is doing . He is so thorough, I have every confidence in him. Totally puts my mind at ease and makes going to the dentist a somewhat nice experience .Thank you Ali
Dr Ali Almosoy is the best! Was dreading having a root canal and he was so careful and reassuring, I did not feel anything during or after! The surgery are all so kind, caring and supportive. Would definitely recommend.
Great surgery. Amazing staff that can understand you and help with anything related to dental health issues. I had several appointments with Ms. Sonali Pursnani - professional, open and kind person. Thank you so much, keep up the good work!
